The Lodge at Red River Ranch is situated on 2,000 acres on the site of an old stagecoach stop from 1886. The 15 guestrooms have air-conditioning and wood-burning fireplaces. Each room is individually decorated with antiques, Western art and Native artifacts. The Great Room has a piano, game nook, reading alcove and a collection of authentic Navajo rugs. Wireless Internet is available but there are no televisions at the lodge. Cliffstone, the in-house restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is open to the public.
The Muley Twist Inn is situated on 30 acres in a grove of pinion pine, just outside Teasdale. It has five individually furnished and decorated guest rooms and overlooks a river valley with red rock cliffs. Rooms have private bathrooms and no televisions. Full breakfasts are included in the room rates. There is a large porch with rocking chairs. Activities in the area include hiking, mountain biking, horse riding and fishing.
The Capitol Reef Inn is located in Torrey, about five miles from Teasdale. Rooms are furnished with hand-made furniture and decorated with Native American artifacts. They are equipped with fridge, coffeemaker, phone and TV with satellite. Amenities include a jacuzzi and children's playground. The Capitol Reef Cafe seats 100 people and is open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. serving fresh, natural and local foods. There is a bookstore and gift store with crafts made by local artisans.
The Best Western Capitol Reef Resort is the largest hotel in Torrey. Rooms and suites have satellite television, coffee and tea maker, hairdryer and free high-speed Internet access. Hotel amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, tennis courts, business services and a gift shop. The in-house restaurant, Red Cliffs, serves breakfast and dinner. Small pets are allowed and parking is free. Capitol Reef National Park is a short drive away.
