Motels in Addis, LA

A number of small cities and towns dot the landscape near Baton Rouge, Louisiana, one of which is Addis. Part of the West Baton Rouge Parish, Addis held a population of just over 2,200 in early 2012. The size of the town does not lend itself to much in the way of lodging, but travelers can find motels in the surrounding area.
  1. Riverbend Motel

    • Although technically in Plaquemine, the Riverbend Motel lies less than four miles south of Addis on Highway 1. It is known for its scenery on the John Day River, and many wedding parties stay at the motel. All rooms have wireless internet, VHS and DVD players, refrigerator and microwave. Guests choose between a spacious queen-sized room or a suite, which includes two individual rooms and a jacuzzi. The queen rooms cost $70, and the suite runs $100 as of early 2011.

    Best Western

    • Travelers looking for a chain motel might choose the Best Western in Plaquemine. Away from the bustle of Baton Rouge but not as isolated as the Riverbend, this Best Western offers guests free full breakfast, access to outdoor pool and workout room, and all rooms have high-speed internet, refrigerator and microwave. Family-friendly, children under 18 stay free, but no pets are allowed. Two adults will spend $80-100 for a room on a Saturday night (as of early 2011).

    Holiday Inn Express

    • Travelers who wish to stay closer to Interstate 10 can find lodging in Port Allen, about six miles north of Addis. Business travelers might find the Holiday Inn Express there a good lodging choice because of the business services including available computer, fax and high-speed data transfer. All rooms have internet, microwave and refrigerator, and guests can enjoy the indoor pool, small fitness center and free breakfast. Rates as of early 2011 run from $80 for a regular room to $115 for a suite for two adults on a Saturday night.

    Staybridge Suites

    • Baton Rouge offers the most choices for lodging in the area, including the Staybridge Suites. The Southgate location near Louisiana State University is less than six miles from Addis. Amenities include a workout center, outdoor pool and business center, all free. The lobby holds a rental car desk, but visitors can find dining, shopping, golf, museums and stadiums within 10 miles, many only 1/2 mile away. Costs as of early 2011 vary widely from $79 to 180 for a room for two adults on a weekend.
