The family-owned-and-operated J-Bar Sportsman's Lodge is located in close proximity to Breton Sound and Barataria Bay, both of which teem with snapper, grouper and speckle trout during the peak fishing season. A fishing guide service is available for guests with or without their own boats; professional guides fully outfit both individuals and large groups with all the necessary gear before helping them navigate the waters of the lower Mississippi delta. Nine stand-alone lodges can be found on the premises, the largest featuring three bedrooms and two baths.
