The small village of Ullin sets in the southern tip of Illinois less then 20 miles from the Missouri and Kentucky state lines. Although visitors will find only one hotel within the small farming community, a few lodging options are within a short drive that allow easy access to the local attractions including Trail of Tears State Park, Horseshoe Lake Nature Preserve and Chestnut Hill Nature Preserve.

Downtown Cairo offers a few local eateries including Shemwells Barbecue and Mack's restaurant.
Grand Chain Lodge is about a 30-minute east of Ullin on the banks of the Ohio River. Guests are two miles from the Chestnut Hill Nature Preserve where guests will find hiking trails and birdwatching opportunities. The lodge offers four spacious guest rooms with a Jacuzzi tub and a deck overlooking the river. Grand Chain Lodge also offers a full hook-up campground and rental cabins with fully equipped kitchens. Super 8 of Anna sits five miles off I-57 and is about a 20-minute drive north of Ullin. The hotel is across the street from Wal-Mart and within a mile of a few eateries including El Jalapeno Restaurant, Casey's General Store and Domino's Pizza. Super 8 features basic guest rooms with continental breakfast and high-speed Internet access. Suites are available with a more spacious layout and in-room whirlpool tub. Guests have access to a heated indoor swimming pool and small fitness center.
