Hotels in Port Gibson, Mississippi

Port Gibson is a small town in Clairborne County on the western edge of Mississippi. At the time of the 2000 census, Port Gibson had a population of just 1,840. The historical town offers travelers the chance to visit the sites of some Civil War battles, including the Battle of Port Gibson. Visitors can stay at a few inns and motels in the area.

  1. Oak Square Country Inn

    • The Oak Square Country Inn is an old Greek revival-style mansion located on Church Street in Port Gibson. The mansion was originally built in 1850. The inn features 12 rooms as well as two guest houses and a carriage house. It is decorated with six Corinthian columns on the large front porch. Each room features a private bathroom and is decorated with antiques. Other room amenities include television sets, air conditioning, complimentary coffee and daily maid service. A southern-style breakfast is also served to guests.

    Bernheimer House

    • Bernheimer House is another hotel in an old Port Gibson residence. It is actually a three-story bed and breakfast, and one of the largest old houses in the city. It was originally built in 1900. Locals and tourists can pay $5 to take a tour of the Bernheimer House. Guests at the bed and breakfast can also take advantage of a continental breakfast and free wireless Internet and cable television. Dinner and cocktails are available.

    Grand Gulf Inn

    • The Grand Gulf Inn is a hotel located on Highway 61 North in the northern end of Port Gibson. The inn is relatively old, but does come equipped with television sets and heat in the rooms. It is near Alcorn State University and next door to a Sonics restaurant.

    Ashland Motel & Trailer Park

    • The Ashland Motel & Trailer Park is a combination trailer park and hotel situated on Grand Gulf Road near Highway 462 in Port Gibson. The motel and trailer park is small and only employs between two to four people.
