Rootstown is in northeastern Ohio, between Akron and Youngstown. Besides Muzzy Lake, Crystal Lake, and the Triangle Lake Bog State Nature Preserve, Rootstown is also home to the Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine. There are no hotels in Rootstown, but nearby Brimfield and Kent host hotels that are 10 to 20 minutes away by car.
