Monteleone is a niche neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana, inside the larger French Quarter. Monteleone is situated between the French Quarter, Storyville and the Central Business District. Monteleone is loosely bounded by fours streets: Canal Street to the west, Decatur Street to the south, St Louis Street to the east and North Rampart Street to the north.     • The namesake hotel of the area, the Monteleone is a 600-room hotel with 55 suites. Opened in 1886, the hotel has come to be one of the landmarks of the French Quarter.     Chateau Bourbon

    • The Chateau Bourbon is housed in a building that was erected in 1846 as a department store. It has since been converted into a historic 251-room luxury hotel with 12 suites. The Chateau Bourbon is a Wynham hotel right on Bourbon Street, and many of the rooms overlook the famed boulevard. The Omni has 346 luxury guest rooms and suites, separated into 10 categories: four categories of guest rooms and six categories of suites. The guest rooms are well furnished but can be small, ranging from 120 to 200 total square feet. The suites are significantly larger at between 300 and 850 total square feet. All of the rooms have a view of either St. Louis Street, Royal Street, or, in the case of the rooms on higher floors, a panorama of the French Quarter.

    • Unlike the Omni and the St. Louis, the Chateau Orleans is an independent hotel in New Orleans. The Chateau Orleans gives visitors a residential feel. The establishment features condominiums in three sizes: studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom. Each condominium has a kitchen or efficiency kitchen, daily newspaper, cable TV, free local calls and daily maid service. The Chateau also has a courtyard with a full-size pool.     Chateau LaMoyne

    • This Holiday Inn location is a large chateau incorporating three townhouses and two buildings. It begins on the Dauphine Street and ends around the corner on Bienville. The five-floor, 171-room hotel has an outdoor heated pool. The Chateau LaMoyne is family-friendly, offering free meals for children. For business travelers, the chateau maintains a 24-hour business center with copy services, fax services and high-speed Internet access. The Chateau LaMoyne website describes its as a "thoughtfully-appointed New Orleans lodging," away from the luxury end of the spectrum.

    Prince Conti Hotel

    • The Prince Conti is a locally held hotel owned by New Orleans' own Valantino family. The hotel has a triple-diamond rating from AAA. The 19th-century brick building has 76 guest rooms on three floors. All rooms are billed as comfortable and affordable accommodations. The hotel has free Internet access in all rooms and public spaces, a 24-hour concierge service and ground-floor corporate suites. The corporate suites are designed for business excursions with meeting rooms and living rooms adjacent to private bed and bathrooms. The private bedrooms in the corporate suites feature their own patios.
