Montgomery Ferry is a rural area on the western bank of the Susquehanna River in eastern Pennsylvania. Its proximity to the Susquehanna attracts anglers fishing for smallmouth bass and boating enthusiasts alike. The area is a bit isolated being among the Poconos Mountains, so accommodations are few and far between. However, a short drive to surrounding areas opens up your options for hotels.
The Doyle Hotel in Duncannon is 10 miles south of Montgomery Ferry. The hotel comes complete with a bar and restaurant that serves lunch and dinner seven days a week. If the hotel's restaurant does not suit your needs, Zeiderelli's Pizza and Subs, Pub and Goodie's are dining options within a few blocks' walk. The hotel is close to a number of attractions. The Doll House Museum is two miles away and Hersheypark and Chocolate World is 11 miles. The hotel does not permit pets.

A 23-mile drive south of Montgomery Ferry puts you in Harrisburg. The Red Roof Inn accommodates area visitors. If you are hungry, you are just a short walk from Breaktime Cafe and the Philly Pretzel Factory.
