Baltimore, Maryland's Camden Yards is the home to Orioles baseball games. The green field, green seats and red, brick warehouse backdrop provide a stark contrast to the luxurious interior decor of neighboring hotels often booked up by sports enthusiasts. Visitors who can afford the best seats, however, can extend their hotel luxury experience with covered seats on a high, upper deck.
Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards is a large, elegant and stylish hotel with 490 rooms and 34 suites. The hotel caters to the elite traveler with luxury amenities such as designer beds for optimum comfort, plug-and-play high-speed Internet, flat-screen televisions and complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Whenever a game is playing at Camden Yards, the hotel features it on large-screen televisions in its bar and lounge called The Yard. The Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards also has a grand ballroom that seats up to 160 people that can be used for formal parties, classrooms and business meetings.
The Hampton Inn Baltimore-Downtown-Convention Center is a bit smaller than the Marriott with 126 rooms and the decor is less traditionally elegant. Hampton Inn Baltimore-Downtown-Convention Center decorators incorporate the sporty feel of Camden Yards in the hotel lobby with a whimsical chair shaped like a catcher's mitt. Convenient amenities include complimentary breakfast, a suite shop, a fitness center, an outdoor patio, a lifeguard protected indoor pool, a business center and a meeting room. Remaining competitive with neighboring hotels, guest rooms feature 26-inch and 32-inch flat-screen televisions and high-speed Internet access. Suites have pull-out sofas, wet bars, microwaves and refrigerators.
The Hilton Baltimore is right next door to Camden Yard. Booking the balcony-hospitality suite gives guests a ballpark view of Camden Yard games. The decor is modern with a lot of geometric patterns and stainless steel accents. The Hilton provides its own uniquely designed plush-top mattresses in guest rooms along with ergonomic desk chairs, high-speed cable with on-demand entertainment and Internet access. The suites are even more luxurious promising 250-thread-count linens, Cuisinart coffeemakers, bathroom toiletries by Crabtree and Evelyn and 32-inch flat-panel televisions.
The Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel's website is not as descriptive as those of the other Camden Yards hotels but it does offer many of the same amenities. A 24-hour business center provides guests with free Internet access and complimentary office supplies but there is a per day charge for in-room Internet access. Comparable amenities include a quaint but classy decor, complimentary breakfast and afternoon hors d'oeuvres, a fitness center, a heated indoor pool and a gift shop.
