    • Candlewood Suites is right off the Hinkleville Road exit in western Paducah, a five-minute drive from the downtown district. Hinkleville Road restaurants, including Rafferty's of Paducah, are within five minutes of the hotel. As of winter 2011, pets may stay at Candlewood Suites for a non-refundable fee of $75 that covers two pets under 80 pounds. The fee is $150 for stays over a week. Hotel amenities include a picnic area with barbecue grills and convenience store.

It's a 10-minute drive from downtown Paducah's Lower Art District, the section of Paducah that's home to the Lloyd Tillghman House – a museum dedicated to the Civil War – and the Carson Center, which hosts theatrical and dance performances.

    Holiday Inn Express Paducah

    • This Holiday Inn Express is right off Interstate 24, making a day trip to the Land Between the Lakes National Park approximately 30 minutes. This national park is lodged between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, both of which provide chances for fishing and kayaking. Land Between the Lakes also features the Golden Pond Aquarium and equestrian trails. As of winter 2011, pets may stay at Holiday Inn Express for free. Guests may only have two 25-pound dogs per room. The hotel serves breakfast and offers an indoor swimming area with whirlpool tub.
