Korona, Florida Hotels

Korona is an unincorporated Palmcoast Metro Area community on U.S. 1 centered between Bunnell and Ormond Beach in Flagler County. Both Flagler Beach and Ormond Beach offer accommodations, restaurants, outdoor activities and historic as well as natural attractions. From here you can drive further south to Daytona Beach or north to historic St. Augustine.

  1. Korona

    • Just west of Flagler Beach and North of Ormond Beach you'll find most hotel accommodation in Ormond Beach just 12 miles south of Korona on U.S. 1, although Flagler Beach offers some fine accommodations. While away from the major attractions of Central Florida this area boasts beautiful beaches and state parks.

    Flagler Beach

    • Flagler Beach, with a population of about 5,000 people, offers a six-mile stretch of beach for swimming, surfing and relaxing. Enjoy a picnic or some fishing at the Washington Oaks Gardens State Park or camp beach side at the Gamble Rogers Memorial Recreation Area. Stroll along the Flagler Beach Marsh-walk featuring a winding boardwalk as well as a footpath through the Flagler Beach marshland. The weekly Farmer's market offers a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetable and fresh baked good. Take a tour of the Flagler Beach Museum as well as visit the shops. Fish, stroll or relax on the Flagler Beach Pier, go kayaking or canoeing at the Tomoka State Park, or travel the Loop road and the Marsh at Highbridge.

    Flagler Beach Accommodations

    • The Topaz Motel/Hotel offers contemporary rooms with or without kitchens and turn-of-the-century bedrooms furnished with antiques. Rooms with ocean views and balconies are available. Private baths, cable TV and telephones come with all rooms. If you choose to truly pamper yourself book a few nights at the Island Cottage Ocean Front Inn Cafe and Spa where you'll have a choice of cottages, a private beach, spa facilities and a restaurant.

    Ormond Beach

    • The original home of the Timucuan Indians and originally colonized by the British in the 18th century, vast indigo and rice plantations were established here. The 20,000-acre Mount Oswald plantation is now the site of the Tomoka State Park. Visit the Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park for a taste of Florida's history. John D. Rockefeller Sr.'s summer home, the Casements, is now a museum and cultural center. The Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens offers a changing art collection and a four-acre garden. The beach is beautiful and visitor's have many restaurants to choose from and shops to visit.

    Ormond Beach Accommodations.

    • Best Western Mainsail Inn and Suites is small, only 44 rooms, offering beach access, an outdoor swimming pool and a children's pool, high-speed Internet access, and a complimentary continental breakfast. Pets are not allowed.

      The Comfort Inn with 47 rooms does accept pets with some restrictions and fees. It offers beach access, an outdoor pool and a complimentary continental breakfast.
