Greenehaven, Arizona, is named after Mr. Art Green. In the mid 1930s Art Green ran white water expeditions down the nearby Colorado River. In 1949, Art and his family purchased the Old Cliff Dwellers and the surrounding 400 acres. They set up a base for their rafting operation, expanded it to include a motel, gas station, cafe, runway and trading post that became a tourist destination.
