Hotels Near Simonsville, Vermont

Vermont has a number of quaint bed and breakfasts, and the area around Simonsville is no different. Simonsville offers little in terms of hotels, but the nearby town of Chester, about seven miles east along Highway 11, contains a number of different choices, and a resort lies just north of Simonsville.
  1. Inn Victoria

    • Chester's Inn Victoria focuses on romance. Antiques and Victorian flairs decorate the rooms, but the inn also has Wi-fi, a hot tub, DVD players and movies. One special attraction of the Victoria is a murder-mystery night, but guests can find packages that include massages, wine tastings, formal teas and sleigh rides that explore the area's multiple covered bridges. Art galleries, dining and shopping, including antique stores, can be found within several blocks. Because the inn is a popular spot for weddings, guests typically need reservations.

    The Hugging Bear

    • The Hugging Bear uses a teddy bear theme throughout the hotel, with 10,000 bears, including those in a Steiff shop. Steiff collectors and fans meet at the property for parties and shows. Each room includes a private bath, and some can accommodate larger groups. Children are allowed. Guests may explore the other doll shops nearby, take one of the two wooded hiking trails or investigate the historical buildings such as the Victorian train station. Restaurants offer fare from pizza to steak.

    Motel in the Meadow

    • The Motel in the Meadow in Chester has rooms with kitchenettes, sitting areas and cable. The site contains a gift shop and is close to outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, snowshoeing, skiing, hiking/biking trails, fishing and canoeing. The motel is 20 minutes from Okemo base lodge, 25 minutes from Bromley Mountain and 10 minutes from Magic Mountain, all of which are popular destinations for outdoor activities year-round. The motel allows pets.

    Castle Hill Resort

    • Guests looking for something larger than a B&B might choose the Castle Hill Resort, located about 12 miles north of Simonsville in Ludlow, Vermont. The resort's Pointe Hotel contains regular rooms, family-sized rooms and suites; fitness center; pool and hot tub; Wi-fi; casual dining; game room and free shuttle to local skiing, mountain biking and horseback riding. A spa rounds out the experience, offering massage, facials and skin care treatments. For larger groups, meeting rooms can accommodate up to 50 people.
