Sheldon, Vermont is in Franklin County, 40 miles north of Burlington. It sits just south of the Canadian border. Sheldon is well known for its mineral springs, which were said to have been medicinal for illnesses. It was named for Elisha Sheldon, who was an landowner. It offers hiking, biking and cross country skiing trails. Although there are no hotels or lodging in Sheldon, there are in the neighboring town of Saint Albans. Saint Albans is located approximately 10 miles from Sheldon. It is a small friendly town, known for its Maple Festival, smalls shops and parks.
