Hagerhill is a small rural community on the Big Sandy River in scenic Johnson County, Kentucky. Although visitors will not find any hotels within the city, there are several options in nearby communities that offer easy access to the area attractions, including Jenny Wiley State Resort Park, Paintsville Lake State Park and Big Sandy Community College.
Days Inn, located on the southern edge of Paintsville, offers convenient access to Hagerhill, less then two miles to the south. Guests will find several eateries within the small community, including Bob Evans, Mandarin House and the Fiesta Place Restaurant. The hotel has a lobby seating area, complimentary hot breakfast and seasonal outdoor pool with sun loungers. Standard rooms include a work desk, and are pet-friendly for a $10 nightly fee, as of 2011. Suites include a larger floor plan and in-room Jacuzzi tub.
Ramada of Paintsville offers modern guest rooms and a large conference center with New Orleans styling. The hotel sits adjacent to the Big Sandy River and across the street from the Paul Hall Regional Medical Center. Accommodations include standard guest rooms and whirlpool suites. Guests have access to indoor and outdoor swimming pool as well as a fitness room. Carriage House Restaurant located onsite serves a country breakfast, lunch buffet and fine-dining dinner service.
Comfort Suites is located nine miles south of Hagerhill in Prestonburg and allows convenient access to Jenny Wiley State Park, where guests will find forest hiking trails and several picnic areas. Guests are within walking distance of the Kentucky Opry and the Mountain Arts Center. The hotel has standard guest rooms and suites with a separate living area and in-room Jacuzzi tub. Within the lobby, guests have access to a movie viewing lounge with big screen TV and a complimentary breakfast area.
Prestonburg Inn sits on the northern edge of Prestonburg, and offers views of the scenic Appalachian foothills. The hotel located eight miles south of Hagerhill features modern guest rooms with a lounge chair, work desk and a balcony in select units. Guests have access to a full service business center, outdoor swimming pool with patio, and conference center along with a daily complimentary breakfast buffet. Preston Station bar & grill located off the lobby offers American cuisine with a sports bar atmosphere.
