Mount Dora, Florida, is a small lakefront town 45 minutes northwest of Orlando. The town has no mountain and is not directly on a mountaintop; however, it's officially 184 feet above sea level, making it a "unofficial" mountaintop community. Mount Dora offers plenty of outdoor activities such as boating and fishing; golf; state and local parks; events; festivals; and sightseeing. The Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's theme parks are just 25 minutes away. Hotel accommodations are easy to find and are located throughout the town.

    • Hampton Inn Mount Dora is located just outside of the town area of Mount Dora on U.S. 41, about five minutes from downtown. This Hampton Inn location has a fitness center, outdoor pool, lounge, complimentary hot breakfast and free parking. A number of other dining options such as the Goblin Market, Palm Tree Grill and Fiesta Grande Mexican Grille are just a few blocks away in the downtown area.

    • The Adora Inn is another travel accommodation located in the historic downtown area of Mount Dora. This boutique bed-and-breakfast was built in 1916 and is within walking distance to all of downtown's shops, restaurants and events. The interior of the hotel is decorated with a blend of modern and antique furnishings with original art, giving off a sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere. All guest rooms have a bathroom but no TV. Each room is different with some rooms having large bathtubs, a fireplace, king or queen beds and/or vaulted ceilings. All room rates include a full gourmet breakfast in the morning (other meals are available for an extra charge) and the Innkeepers are both experienced, professional chefs.

    • The eCom Lodge is located just a few miles outside of the town center of Mount Dora in a quiet setting just off of U.S. 441. The hotel has 45 guest rooms, each with cable TV, free wireless Internet access and micro-fridge. The hotel also has extended-stay efficiency rooms with stove, microwave and oversize refrigerator. ECom Lodge has free parking, an outdoor pool, 24-hour coffee and free continental breakfast. Nearby dining options include Lampu Japanese Steakhouse, Pizza Hut and several fast food restaurants.
