Mount Rainier National Park, west of the Cascade Mountain Range in Washington state, covers more than 230,000 acres of land. Fifty miles from Seattle, the park is within an easy drive for a day's visit. If you decide to linger, you'll find two hotels inside the park and three others by the ski slope nearby.
The National Park Inn is in Mount Rainier National Park in the Longmire Historic District. The hotel sits among trees, and to preserve the quiet atmosphere, it provides no telephone or television in the rooms. Instead, it offers its guests afternoon tea in front of a fireplace and access to a library. The National Park Inn is open year-round, providing a changing view of Mount Rainier from its balcony as the seasons change. The guest rooms are comfortable but simply furnished, offering coffee makers, hairdryers and Natura Green body products as amenities. Some rooms share a hallway bathroom and come with bathrobes and slippers. Rooms with private baths cost a little more. In addition, this hotel also has two wheelchair accessible rooms. All others are on the second floor and reachable by stairs only. Suites are also an option.

The inn has a restaurant serving American cuisine, a cafe and a gift shop. Right outside the hotel, you'll find miles of trail. The original guest rooms share four showers, and women and men have separate shared bathrooms. You'll find bathrobes and slippers in those rooms. The annex, built in 1920, has rooms with private baths. True to its name, Paradise Inn offers you quiet not only with its location but with the absence of in-room television or telephone service.
