Las Vegas casino resorts are not, as a group, all that pet-friendly, especially when it comes to pets other than dogs. As of March 2010, there are a few properties around town that welcome guests with dogs. You'll find them in the suburbs, at four of the 11 resorts run by Station Casinos. Be prepared to pay a nonrefundable deposit, and know the specific rules in regards to dogs at the different locations.
Located along the 215 Beltway in the northern part of the Las Vegas Valley, Aliante Casino & Hotel, part of Station Casinos, allows dogs weighing 25 lbs. or less. The nonrefundable pet fee at this property is $100 per stay as of March 2010.
Aliante opened in November 2008, and it is about a 30-minute drive from the property to the Strip. There are some great dog-friendly attractions near the casino resort, like Aliante Park and the Spring Mountain Recreation Area.
