Haunted Hotels Near Orlando, Florida

Some hotel guests check in and never check out. At least that’s what they say about some of Orlando's hotels. Some guests and staff say they have seen ghosts in and around the hotels, or have seen strange things having to do with ghosts. If you love a great scary story, or are a paranormal activity enthusiast, check into one of these historic haunts

  1. Super 8 Motel

    • Allegedly, a man haunts Room 206 at the Super 8 motel near Universal Studios, shaking the bed and he has also been seen getting up from the bed and slipping into the bed next to you. Guests also claimed that the bathroom sink comes on by itself and the room stays cold. Aside from the hauntings the Super 8 Motel offers basic and simple accommodations such as a pool and continental breakfast. Guests can spend an action-packed day at Universal Studios. For dining, Universal City walk has a wide variety of restaurants, such as celebrity chef-owned Emeril's Orlando and Latin Quarter, serving authentic Latin cuisine.

    Peabody Hotel

    • Ghosts allegedly haunt this Orlando hotel. Guests claim to have felt cold spots suddenly on their body and apparitions of various ghosts. The upscale hotel has 1,641 rooms and suites spread over 31 stories. The hotel is also famous for the Peabody Ducks, the mascots of the hotel that march from the Duck Palace to the Royal Duck Fountain in the lobby each day for a swim. Peabody Hotel is less than 10 minutes away from the Downtown Disney entertainment area. Catch as show at the House of Blues or check out the DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park. Dining options include Bongo's Cuban Cafe and the upscale Fulton's Crab House.

    Cassadaga Hotel

    • Located 34 miles northeast of Orlando, the Cassadaga Hotel proudly proclaims that friendly spirits haunt the hotel. In fact, the hotel also houses a Psychic Center and offers seminars and workshops on paranormal activity and ethereal spirits. The hotel also features the Lost in Time Cafe, serving sandwiches and salads. Cassadaga is a small Spiritualist community that has classes on the Spiritualism religion. Restaurants in the surrounding area include China Chef for Chinese food, and Grill Depot, serving grilled American favorites.
