The term Epcot was coined by entrepreneur and animator Walt Disney as an acronym for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Today, Epcot is a theme park at Walt Disney World Resort on the outskirts of Orlando, Florida. Formerly called Epcot Center, the park is divided into World Showcase and Future World. Epcot's spaceship earth, which looks like a giant golf ball, is an iconic structure in Orlando.
