Disney Main Gate is an unofficially designated region of western Orlando, Florida, that consists of the area roughly within a square mile of the main entrance to the Walt Disney World theme park and resorts. The region is home to several lodging establishments that are not affiliated with Disney and often offer less expensive rates while providing easy access to the theme park.
The Radissson Maingate is located on the corner of Maingate Lane and Route 192, less than one mile from the main entrance at Walt Disney World. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to a shopping plaza and several restaurants, including Passage to India and the Ponderosa Steakhouse. The hotel is designated as a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel, so guests can buy tickets for many Disney attractions in the main lobby. The hotel also offers discounted room rates to Florida residents who present a valid state identification.
The Knights Inn Maingate is located on Route 192 less than five minutes via automobile to the Walt Disney World Resort. Two rental car establishments are located within walking distance of the hotel's main entrance. The hotel features an outdoor basketball court and heated outdoor pool. Tickets to several local attractions including Disney World are available at the hotel's concierge desk. The hotel is also located less than a block from a miniature golf course and more than a half dozen restaurants. The hotel has many facilities geared toward large groups including a theater, banquet hall, class room and open outdoor square. The hotel is located less than 10 mines from both the Orlando Premium outlet and Prime Outlet International Mall. A sand volleyball court is also located on the premises for guest use. The hotel also offers guests complimentary breakfast and a free shuttle service to all Disney Theme Parks.
