Hotels Near the West Rim

While the National Park Service (NPS) is responsible for overseeing the South and North Rims of the Grand Canyon, the West Rim is managed by the neighboring Hualapai Native American Tribe. There are no hotels near the West Rim and travelers seeking traditional accommodations should look to Kingman, Arizona, which is about 90 minutes away from the West Rim. For the more adventurous, accommodations can be found on the local reservation or at a nearby working ranch.

  1. Hualapai Ranch

    • Visitors to the West Rim can arrange to stay on the nearby Hualapai reservation in a cowboy overnight tour. In addition to lodging in a cabin with a view of the West Rim, guests also enjoy a nighttime campfire and a guided tour to see Eagle Point and Guano Point. Dinner, continental breakfast and lunch before departure from the reservation are all included as part of the package.     Grand Canyon Ranch

    • The Grand Canyon Ranch is another atypical lodging option located near the Grand Canyon's West Rim. The Grand Canyon Ranch is a 165-square-mile cattle range located a few minutes drive from the West Rim. The ranch welcomes guests to stay in their choice of private pine cabins or National American tipis. The Ranch's lodging fee includes dinner, breakfast and a live cowboy show. Guests can intermingle with the ranch workers and learn about the real life of a cowboy. Website specials include "kids stay free" packages.

    SpringHill Suites Kingman

    • Marriott's SpringHill Suites Kingman is one option for visitors wanting to stay in a traditional hotel near the West Rim. Standard room amenities include free wireless Internet, flat-screen televisions and complimentary breakfast. Suites offer small kitchenettes. Guests can enjoy the indoor heated pool and spa before starting their drive to the Grand Canyon. All rooms are nonsmoking.

    Days Inn Kingman East
