Preston, Idaho, is the largest city in Franklin County. Approximately 12,000 people reside in the county, with 5,000 in Preston. Each winter a Festival of Lights occurs in celebration of Christmas. Other activities in the area include Rodeo Days, boutique shopping and outdoor activities such as rock climbing, hiking and snowmobiling. Because of its remote location, accommodation options in this area are limited. There are only three motels within the Preston area.
