The sprawling Caesars Palace resides in the heart of The Strip, or Las Vegas Boulevard, the city's main thoroughfare and home to numerous hotels and casinos. Guests can walk from Caesars Palace to other nearby hotels via The Strip's elevated walkways which allow tourists to bypass the heavily congested street. For a fee, vacationers may also utilize the monorail system which features stops at many major hotels.
Located directly north of Caesars Palace, The Mirage resides upon 100-plus acres of land. The hotel lobby plays host to such opulent attractions as a 53-foot long aquarium and an indoor rainforest housed within an atrium. Outside, the hotel's tropical setting features a volcano that erupts every 15 minutes nightly. Guests may also visit the hotel's Dolphin Habitat, where visitors may learn to be trainers for the day. The hotel offers two pool areas, including Bare, which promotes European-style sunbathing, and the main region which features waterfalls and water slides.
