McCarran International Airport resides on the southern end of Las Vegas Boulevard, also known as The Strip, which is home to the city's most famous hotels and casinos. Although most Las Vegas hotels do not provide free airport shuttles, a host of shuttle companies offer service to hotels located both on and off The Strip, for a small fee.
The Luxor Hotel and Casino, located just 10 minutes from the airport, resides within a towering, 30-story black-glass pyramid with a 315,000-watt-powered light shining into the night sky from atop. Although the neighboring tower features more than 2,000 guest rooms, the pyramid itself offers more than 2,250 rooms, which guests must reach via a sideways-traveling high-speed inclinator. The hotel offers a host of dining options, including a steakhouse, a food court and a buffet featuring a 30-foot salad bar. The hotel also features five swimming pools and four whirlpools. For an added fee, guests can reserve a spot on the hotel's airport shuttle carrier of choice.
