Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery is located on the Fort Rosecrans Military Reservation in Point Loma, near San Diego, Calif. The cemetery is near the San Diego Naval Base, the Miramar Marine Corps Air Station , A US Naval Training Station, Marine Corps Recruiting Depot, North Island Naval Air Station, Imperial Beach Naval Air Station and the San Diego International Airport. A variety of area hotels are available to Fort Rosecrans visitors.
The Lodge is an inexpensive motel with a few basic amenities, including an outdoor swimming pool and a continental breakfast. The Lodge offers a low-cost place to sleep not far from Fort Rosecrans. They do not allow pets.

Not far from the airport, the Yacht Harbor Hotel, part of the Best Western chain, boasts a heated outdoor pool, fitness center, and a good location between the fort and the airport.
