Pier 39 is a festival marketplace on the San Francisco Bay in Northern California. The pier has more than 100 shops, 12 restaurants with views of the bay, street performers and live entertainment every day. Besides tourists, Pier 39 often is visited by sea lions that can be viewed at K-Dock. The pier also has the Aquarium of the Bay and kids' rides. For those traveling on a budget, several cheap hotels are within two miles of the pier.
