The Sacred Monkey Forest of Padangtegal is a popular destination for people traveling to Ubud, Bali. Owned by the village of Padantegal, the village members serve as the governing council, The Padangtegal Wenara Wana Foundation. Visitors numbered only about 800 people per month in 1986 but have grown to more than 10,000 people visiting each month.
