Gulf Shores, Alabama has two Phoenix hotels and eight Phoenix condominium buildings to provide vacation rentals. Gulf Shores attracts tourists all year round, but peak season takes place from May through the end of August Visitors can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, water sports, amusement rides and shopping while on vacation in the area.
All hotel rooms at the two Phoenix hotels have one bedroom, a balcony with Gulf of Mexico views, and a fully equipped kitchen. The Phoenix All Suites hotel's rates vary depending on the season. During the peak summer months you will see the highest rates, which were $199 to $249 a night in 2010 (See Reference 1). November through January have the cheapest rates, which were $129 a night in 2010. You will also find higher rates during spring break, the Fourth of July weekend and when festivals occur.
Nearby, you will find over forty restaurants, ranging from fast food burgers, to pizza, to steakhouses and seafood specialists. Some of the local bars also serve food. Plenty of activities are on offer to keep the whole family entertained. You can rent kayaks, visit the zoo, go on a dolphin watching trip, golf, visit a museum, enjoy an amusement park, or relax on the beach (See Reference 2).
