Dog Friendly Hotels in South Central Texas

Texas' South Central region features popular tourist destinations such as the Riverwalk and Alamo Mission in San Antonio as well as the state capitol in Austin. Many of the hotels in this region allow dog owners to bring their furry friends with them. South Central Texas has outdoor recreational areas that permit dogs, including the Zilker Metropolitan Park in Austin and the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park.

    Ramada Limited San Marcos

    • The Ramada, located in San Marcos, is a five-minute drive to the San Marcos River, where tourists can take glass-bottom boat tours provided by the Aquarena Center. As of summer 2010, dogs under 20 pounds are allowed to stay for a nightly fee of $25 per pet. This hotel offers amenities such as parking spaces for large trucks and RVs, a car rental desk, daily housekeeping service, complimentary continental breakfast and an outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool tub.
