Hotels & Dancing in Virginia

Though many of Virginia's upscale hotels offer restaurants and bars for on-site entertainment, a few go a step further and offer dancing as well. Hotel dance clubs typically are open to the public, not just hotel guests. It may be worthwhile to investigate whether the club is far enough away from the rooms to ensure you can get a good night's sleep after you finish dancing.

  1. Mountain Lake Hotel

    • Near the college town of Blacksburg in the western part of the state, the Mountain Lake Hotel was where the movie "Dirty Dancing" was filmed. The hotel capitalizes on that tie-in with Dirty Dancing Weekends throughout the year. Guests during those weekends can watch the movie, enjoy dancing and karaoke, take dance lessons and participate in a "Dirty Dancing" trivia contest.
