The Mall at Stonecrest is located in Lithonia, Ga., a suburb found 15 minutes east of Atlanta. The Mall at Stonecrest opened in 2001 as part of a master plan community along Interstate 20. Part of that plan included a number of hotels located near the mall's property. Some of the area's hotels are within walking distance to the mall and its surrounding shops and restaurants.
