Cliveden House is famous for playing an integral role in the Profumo affair of the 1960s, dramatized in the 1989 film titled, "Scandal." This original Art Deco hotel is located on it's very own island in the South-West county of Devon. When the tide is out, guests can walk to the hotel but when it is in they need to use the world's only hydraulic "Sea Tractor" to make it through the waves.
