Athens, GA Hotels

Home to the University of Georgia, Athens is a vibrant college town with an arts and entertainment district in the downtown area. Downtown Athens also features boutique and full-service hotels within 10 minutes of the area's nightclubs and restaurants. These hotels are also less than five minutes from canoeing and fishing activities on the Oconee River. Athens is approximately an hour and a half from Atlanta, the state capital.

    • The Foundry Park Inn is a luxury accommodation in the northeast corner of downtown Athens, approximately five minutes from the University of Georgia.     • The Georgia Gameday Center is across the street from the University of Georgia campus in downtown Athens. This boutique hotel centers around Georgia Bulldog athletics, which is seen in Gameday Center's interior décor. Guest rooms have Bulldog memorabilia and photos on the walls; the bedsheets are black and red, the university's official colors. The three-bedroom and three-bathroom suite has a fully furnished kitchen and sleeper sofa. The hotel is within walking distance of Sanford Stadium, home of the Georgia Bulldogs football team. Downtown Athens' vibrant nightlife scene is within walking distance of the hotel; popular clubs include the Caledonia Lounge and 40 Watt Club.

    Campus Inn

    • Western Athens' Campus Inn is right off the Atlanta Highway, approximately 10 minutes from the downtown area. This low-cost hotel is less than five minutes from the Georgia Square Mall, which has department stores and restaurants; this mall is the largest in Athens. Oconee Forest Park is a 10-minute drive from hotel, via the Athens Perimeter. Campus Inn provides rooms with whirlpool tubs and kitchenettes. Pets may stay for an additional fee. All rooms have outdoor entrances. RV parking is available.
