Located just 11 miles north of North Vancouver, the seaside village of Horseshoe Bay is home to one of the BC Ferries' major ports. In addition to the ferry docks, this village of roughly 1,000 residents also has a marina, shops and the shoreline Whytecliff Park and playground. There is one hotel in the village and others in the District of West Vancouver that are convenient for those catching the ferry or exploring the Greater Vancouver area. Horseshoe Bay is actually a part of this district.
This is the only motel property in the village of Horseshoe Bay. The outside looks like a typical motel, but the rooms are individually designed and are filled with vintage furnishings and artwork. Rooms may feature a carved four-poster bed, or in another an antique sleigh-bed.
Modern amenities include a mini-fridge, flat-screen TV, microwave and bathroom with spa shower. Some rooms have fireplaces. High-speed Internet access is available. Pets are allowed with prior approval. There are no restaurants on site, but Subway, Mo's Cafe, Captain's Pizza and Yaya's Oyster Bar are all within a three-block radius.

Located three miles south of Horseshoe Bay, the Lighthouse Park Bed and Breakfast is located in upscale West Vancouver. It is across the street from the hiking trails that lead to Point Atkinson Lighthouse and is ideal if you love the great outdoors. The property is a quick 10-minute drive from Horseshoe Bay and the ferry terminal.
The two rooms offered are actually secluded suites with separate sitting areas, bedrooms and full bathroom. Both the East-West Suite and the Flower Suite have private entrances, cable TV, DVD players, mini-fridge, coffee maker with supplies and even a filled sherry decanter. Both suites are kept filled with flowers, both silk and natural.
Breakfasts are cooked to order. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten free breakfast options are available. A breakfast to go is offered if you are leaving to catch an early ferry or just getting a good start on a day of sightseeing.

Bay View Bed and Breakfast is seven miles southeast of Horseshoe Bay. It is located in the village of Ambleside-by-the-Sea, part of the District of West Vancouver. This all suite property has a reputation for having marriage proposals made on site and has a long list of repeat customers. The three suites, overlooking the manicured grounds and the waters of English Bay, have vintage furnishings, original Canadian artwork and Victorian era wall and window treatments.
