Built in December 2006, Motel Strahan is located in the township of Strahan near wild rivers, rugged coastlines, rainforests and on the edge of the World Heritage Wilderness. A standard room includes a king-size bed, bathroom, cable TV, air-conditioning, private courtyard and tea and coffee making facilities. In addition to the standard room, a deluxe room offers a full spa.
Driftwood Strahan Motel is a family-owned and locally run facility established in 2006. It is comprised of eight self-contained apartments with two configurations. One option is two queen beds or one queen bed and two single beds. All rooms come with a sliding door with access to a front patio and a fully equipped kitchen/dining areas with modern appliances. All apartments come with ground floor access and undercover parking near the door.
Risby Cove is a motel overlooking the waterfront at Strahan, Tasmania's Western Wilderness. This motel is equipped with a licensed restaurant and offers breakfast and room service among daily meal services. There are three types of rooms available such as en-suite, standard and suite. The en-suite room has beds and bathroom facilities accessed from within the room. A standard room is equipped with one or more beds, but does not have en-suite bathroom facilities and guests have to share these. A suite is equipped with at least one bedroom and a completely separate lounge or living room. Some rooms have a mini-bar, spa, tea-making facilities and balcony. There is a car park for all guests to access.
The Strahan Bungalows offer the choice of five self-contained accommodations equipped with two bedrooms. This is a family-owned and operated motel that was established in 2005. All bedrooms have a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, television, ironing board and direct access to parking. Prices start at $160 for a one bedroom bungalow and $170 or higher for a two bedroom bungalow that sleeps up to five individuals, as of January 2011.
