The Sugar Loaf Lodge has 31 rooms, all with waterfront views. Cable television and air conditioning are available in each room. Amenities include tennis courts, a heated swimming pool and access to the marina. The lodge rents kayaks, fishing rods, snorkeling equipment and bicycles. Visitors can rent charter boats from the marina for Eco tours, fishing or snorkeling.
The lodge has a full-service restaurant that serves wood-fired pizza for lunch and dinner, and a complimentary breakfast is available at the lodge's Tiki Bar. The Tiki Bar also serves burgers and other food throughout the day.

Parmer's Resort is about 20 minutes from Sugarloaf Key. It offers motel rooms with kitchens, suites and waterfront cottages, and some of the rooms can be combined to form larger suites. The resort sits on the waterfront and offers a swimming pool and a dock. The resort serves a complimentary breakfast that includes muffins, fruit, coffee and juices. All of the rooms are nonsmoking, and the resort does not allow pets.

The Big Pine Key Motel has 32 rooms, and is about 20 minutes from Sugarloaf. Visitors can choose from efficiencies or apartments. Each room is air conditioned and has cable television. Amenities include a swimming pool, a restaurant and boat parking. The restaurant serves both breakfast and lunch. The motel is close to the Key Deer Refuge and Looe Key, as well as a variety of marinas and dive shops. Looe Key is part of a coral reef system and is offshore from Big Pine Key. Visitors come to Looe Key for snorkeling and diving.
