Hunter's Lodge is a family-owned motel and lodge that also rents out cabins and other accommodation, and is on the banks of Dale Hollow Lake, just a few minutes' drive from Celina. The owners offer a variety of outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting for waterfowl, scuba diving, boating and horseback riding along the well-known "Red Oak" ridge trail. The motel's upper units have a full kitchen and the lower units have a microwave but no stove.
Cedar Hill Resort in Celina is on the western side of Dale Hollow Lake, about a mile from the dam wall. The resort offers either cabins or houseboats for rental. These typically have a full kitchen and central air-conditioning. The resort has a restaurant close by the marina that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, their specialty being an "all you can eat" catfish dinner. The marina is full-service, with slips, fuel boat rentals and a convenience store.
The Holly Creek Resort is seven miles from Celina, on the western side of Dale Hollow Lake, which has 32,000 acres of water and more than 600 miles of shoreline. The resort has 29 cabins and 45 houseboats. The cabins are all well appointed, with a full kitchen, hot tub and fireplace. The convenience store by the marina carries basic grocery items, but no meats or vegetables.
The Tompkinsville Inn is a motel in Tompkinsville, Ky., just 16 miles west of Celina. The motel offers 26 guest rooms and five suites, the latter with full kitchens. The inn provides a complimentary continental breakfast. There is an outdoor swimming pool for seasonal use. You'll find several restaurants and a number of fast-food outlets within a five-minute drive of the motel, and some within walking distance.
