How to Activate a Wand for Kids

Children use magic wands when they play MagiQuest, a live-action adventure game. The electronic game is available at Great Wolf Lodge locations, as well as MagiQuest attractions in locations such as Myrtle Beach. With the wand, children will enchant objects, battle a dragon and help a princess. Treasures and mysteries are hidden throughout the attraction, and the wand unlocks all the answers. The wand logs information about the child's achievements, keeping him on track through the action game. MagiQuest can keep children engaged from 60 minutes to five hours.

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a magic wand from the gift shop clerk when you check into a Great Wolf lodge resort. The magic wand will bring inanimate objects to life as the child (or "Magi") pursues MagiQuests.

    • 2

Get the wand activated. At the time of publication, activation costs $14.99 at Great Wolf Lodge, plus $9.99 per visit for game activation. At MagiQuest attractions, a wand and 75 minutes of play are available for $25.99. Accessories such as toppers and trinkets are also available for an additional price.

    • 3

Consider buying one wand if you have two or more children who want to play. Working as a team will save you money.

    • 4

Set a time to go through magic wand training school before starting MagiQuest.

    • 5

Move from one set to the next. Each themed area has props and electronic wizardry. As the Magi solve riddles, the wand records their progress, unlocks mysteries, activates animatronics and creates music.
