The Kaneohe school was developed by the Hawaii Department of Education and the School Liaison Offices of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines in Hawaii in cooperation with the Hawaii State Department of Education.
Recreation facilities at Kaneohe Bay offer The Semper Fitness Center and a basketball court, racquetball courts and locker rooms with saunas. Four beaches provide the opportunity for swimming, snorkeling, surfing and body boarding and MCBH also has four pools. The Hawaii Loa Skate Park is located at Kaneohe Bay adjacent to the tennis courts and Hawaii Loa Housing. K-Bay Lanes bowling center has 24 lanes and the K-Bay Theater has stereo surround sound and seating for 850 persons. Tiki Island provides miniature golf, bumper boats and baseball batting cages for younger children. Youth activities such as karate instruction and piano lessons are offered.
Services at Kaneohe Bay include a 24-hour car wash, gas lanes and an auto skills center. Massage therapy, a barber and beauty center, video store and tailor shops are also on site.
Lodging at Kaneohe Bay offers a choice of villas, cottages, cabanas and a lodge. The Lodge has 74 living areas with separate telephone and data port lines, interior connecting doors for families and each unit is equipped with kitchenettes, high-speed Internet, and a key-less entrance system. The cabanas are located on the shore and feature 29 air-conditioned bedroom studios that are equipped with one king or two queen size beds, a sitting area with a small table and chairs, cable TV, Wi-Fi, washing sink and mini refrigerator. The cottages are comprised of 13 two-bedroom units with full kitchen, living and dining areas, cable TV, high-speed Internet, ceiling fans, lanai, barbecue grill and daily maid service. No pets are allowed at the cottages. The Klipper Villas at Kaneohe Bay are for guests who may be anticipating an extended stay in Hawaii. The two-bedroom villas offer a location for golfers and are set in a resort-like atmosphere.
