• The Birch Glenn Lodge & Motel claims to be one of the largest motels in Cascade. Its rooms have a sort of cabin feel to them reflected in the wood paneled walls and/or wooden furniture. While the rooms--offered in single, double and triple styles--offer only traditional amenities in addition to free wireless Internet access, it does have features that set it apart from other area motels. This is mainly thanks to the lodge. This large building houses a number of communal activities, such as a TV lounge and a sauna. There is also a foosball and billiards table. • For a motel that has an old-style feel to it, consider Bears Knight Inn. This motel, located a relatively short distance from Lake Cascade, has two types of rooms. The regular rooms offer a queen bed and a full-size futon, while the kitchenette rooms come equipped with extra space for a microwave, a stove, a fridge and a set of dishes. All rooms come with a cable television set with a DVD player, coffee and hot chocolate. On the same property is a gift ship run by the motel's proprietors. It sells a number of different crafts and gifts, many of which are made by local artists and artisans.
