Motels in Omak, WA

The city of Omak, Wash., located in the north central part of the state, is a small community with less than 5,000 residents. Though the population is small, the opportunity for adventure is big, with venues for skiing, hiking, horseback riding and fishing nearby, in addition to the city's performing arts center and rodeo arena. Whether you are just passing through, enjoying a weekend away or planning an extended stay, Omak has a motel for you.
  1. North Omak: Best Western Peppertree and Omak Inn

    • On north end of Highway 97 in Omak, you can choose from the Best Western Peppertree or the Omak Inn. The Best Western has the services you expect from its chain including wireless Internet, an indoor pool, a gym and full hot breakfast in the room rate. The nearby Omak Inn offers very similar features, though the business center is more limited than that at the Peppertree. However, if you are traveling with a pet, the Omak Inn allows animals, while the Peppertree limits its admittance to pets under 10 pounds.

    Downtown: Motel Nicholas

    • Motel Nicholas sits within walking distance of Omak's claim to fame -- the Omak Stampede and Suicide Hill, the site of the biggest race at the Stampede. Rates here start much lower than those at the chain motels, and you can get accommodations ranging from a room with one queen bed to three queen beds in two separate bedrooms. The rooms are equipped with wireless Internet, HBO, microwaves and refrigerators, but Motel Nicholas does not have the pool, exercise facility or business center that some motels offer.

    Downtown Upscale: Rodeway Inn

    • For a motel that is located close to the Stampede and center of town, but with a few more amenities than the Motel Nicholas provides, the Rodeway Inn has some additional perks, such as a continental hot breakfast, a seasonal heated pool, some business services and rooms with whirlpool tubs and fireplaces.

Out of Town: Liar's Cove Resort

    • If you want to really get a way from it all, head to northwest Omak where you can find lodging at the family-owned Liar's Cove Resort. Despite the resort's rustic appearance, the rooms are equipped with the usual amenities: one-room country suites include two beds, dishes, a deck and a TV, while the wilderness cabin has a separate bedroom and covered patio as well. For just a few dollars more, you can rent the Lake House with a water-view or the Paul Bunyan that sleeps up to 10, for your extended family getaway. RV hookups are also available at Liar's Cove.
