Torrey is a small town of less than 200 residents that is eight miles from Capitol Reef National Park in south-central Utah. According to torreyutah.com, Torrey was settled in the 1880s by Mormon pioneers. It is home to three seasonal motels, which are often used by travelers trekking to the national park to view the rock formations carved out of sandstone by nature. The park provides visitors opportunities to hike in slot canyons, climb, camp, explore ATV trails and horseback ride.
Austin's Chuckwagon Motel provides 24 rooms, each with a 25-inch television. Guests can take a dip in the swimming pool or hot tub when not viewing the sights at Capitol Reef National Park. The motel has a general store and delicatessen. The motel is open March through November.

Torrey Day's Inn is three miles from Capitol Reef National Park. It has an indoor pool and hot tub. The motel has 39 rooms and two suites, all of which have satellite television and free Internet access. Guests can start out the day with the motel's free continental breakfast. Business services include fax and copy machines. The hotel provides RV and truck parking. Pets are not allowed.

The Rim Rock Inn is within sight of Capitol Reef National Park. It is Torrey's closest motel to the national park and is open March through November. The motel has two restaurants: the Rim Rock Restaurant serves steak, pot roast, stews, chicken and vegetarian dishes. The Rim Rock Patio offers snacks, deserts and cold beverages.
