Motels Near Bliss, Idaho

Bliss is a small town in south-central Idaho, off Interstate 84, with a population of 250 (as of 2009). Bliss is nine miles west of Gooding Municipal Airport. Despite its small size, the town of Bliss contains two motels. It is also a short drive away from other scenic and affordable accommodations.
  1. Amber Inn Motel

    • The Amber Inn, in Bliss, has free Wi-Fi, remodeled rooms and easy access to many local attractions, including river rafting, Miracle Hot Springs and Shoshone Falls. The motel is situated near the beginning of the 1,000 Springs Scenic Byway, a 67.8-mile scenic drive along two-lane highways through south-central Idaho. It is family-owned and operated by Todd and Stephanie Victor. Online reviews say the Amber Inn Motel is clean, modern and affordable. Weekly rates are available.

    Lava Spa Motel

    • The Lava Spa Motel is also in Bliss. It is a 22-room motel with optional suites, namely the River View King Suite and the Jacuzzi Suite. All rooms have remote-control TV, free Wi-Fi, refrigerator and microwave. The motel is near the Portneuf River, with access to outdoor activities such as rafting and fishing. The Lava Spa Motel is also across the street from Idaho's world-famous Hot Springs.

    Hagerman Valley Inn

    • The Hagerman Valley Inn is a few miles outside of Bliss, in Hagerman, Idaho. It has 16 rooms, two of which are suites. It is nestled in the Valley of the Thousand Springs, between the Billingsley Creek Wildlife Management Area and the Hagerman Wildlife Management Area. The town is about four miles from Interstate 84 and is off the beaten track. The Hagerman Valley Inn costs more per night than the motels in Bliss, but it compensates with package amenities such as swimming at the 1000 Springs Resort and a one-hour private hot tub soak. Otherwise, it provides the same basic amenities, including air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and cable TV.

    Get Inn

    • Ten miles east of Bliss along Highway 26 is Gooding, Idaho, home of the Get Inn. The eight-room bed-and-breakfast is housed in a historic building that was a college in the early 1900s, then a hospital in the mid-1900s. The Get Inn also has an event center, which makes it a candidate for destination weddings. Additionally, room rates are quite affordable compared to typical bread-and-breakfast rates. Amenities include a library, continental breakfast and an outdoor patio with barbecue and fire pit.
