Branson, Missouri Water Hotels

Branson, Missouri, serves up a buffet of entertainment and attractions that make it the Las Vegas of the Ozark Mountains. According to the Branson Lakes Area Tourist Board, the area has roughly 22,000 hotels, motels and resorts. While many of these provide easy access to family amusement parks such as Silver Dollar City, many are also tailored for families who want to take a break from the city's packed tourist attractions. Some establishments provide indoor/outdoor water parks, lavish pools or are in close proximity to local lakes.

      The Splash Country Indoor/Outdoor Water Park at the Grand Country resort is open 365 days a year and sits in the heart of Branson. The resort offers numerous water rides. At 250 feet, the Lazy River lets visitors relax while floating around natural materials of an Ozark riverbank. Kids can play Tarzan at the three-level treehouse that comes with interactive water play features on each tier and the Grand Pa Grand's tube slide. The sports-minded can enjoy a basketball play pool, and tiny tots can play in a toddler pool with a frog slide and bungee swings. The outdoor waterpark has a Eureka Mine waterslide that is set up over an old working mine. In addition to aquatic activities, the resort has a music hall and three family-friendly eateries: Grand Country Buffet, Papa Grand's Pizza and Mining Company Grill. The resort also houses the world's largest banjo. At 47 feet long, locals have given it the nickname, Branson's Eiffel Tower.

    Castle Rock Resort & Waterpark

    • Castle Rock Resort & Waterpark has two buildings. The Tower building is attached to the indoor waterpark while the Atrium building sits across the parking lot. Both have 100 rooms that cater to families. The Family Tower Suite has two double beds, a pullout sofa and a cove bunkroom with bunk beds. At the Atrium, the biggest room is the Jacuzzi King Atrium suite with a king size bed and Jacuzzi fit for two people.

      The resort's waterpark is famous for The Cork Screw Ride that sends riders on a tight, watery spiral down to the pool and for its mezzanine-level Lazy River. For the kids, there are wading pools with cartoonish turtle and whale sculptures they can climb on and a Kiddie Zero Depth Entry Pool with two small slides and a kids' castle.

    Still Waters Resort

    • Families can kayak for free at Still Waters Resort that sits on Table Rock Lake.

      Two miles south from Silver Dollar City, Still Waters Resort is a lakefront resort that also has in-house water amenities such as Zoom the Flume Water Slide. At the resort's Island Oasis, there is a pool styled like a lagoon where guests can just walk in to the warm waters, a 15-foot waterfall and a whirlpool that can hold 20 guests. The resort also features an on-site marina where guests can go out on paddleboats, inner tubes and kayaks for free. Kids can also fish for free, and the hotel provides complimentary bikes. For hourly fees, guests can also tour Table Rock Lake on ski boats, wave runners and pontoons. Room choices include rooms with lakefront views, whirlpools or fireplaces.
