The Cabins at Grand Mountain sit in a forested area of the Ozark Mountains and are part of the Thousand Hills Golf Resort. Though Country Music Boulevard with all of its shops, restaurants and entertainment venues is a short two blocks away, guests can enjoy a quiet, laid-back vacation surrounded by nature.
Some cabins are romantic one-bedroom hideaways for two with stone fireplaces, a hot tub and showers built for two. Others offer a four-bedroom loft layout that accommodates up to 16 people. Even in these larger cabins, the master bedrooms have hot tubs. Other amenities include stone fireplaces, furnished back porches, full kitchens, washers and dryers, all linens and wireless Internet access. Cable TV is available in all living room areas and individual bedrooms.
Guests of the cabins have access to the swimming pools and guest facilities at the Thousand Hills Resort, including discounts for play at the Thousand Hills Golf Course.

Big Cedar Lodge is located at Table Rock Lake, only 10 miles south of Branson's downtown core. This is a location for nature lovers who want to be on the edge of the wilderness but still want creature comforts. Guests can choose to stay in one of the two lodge-type buildings with their hotel-style rooms or choose from an assortment of rustic-on-the-outside-but-comfortable-on-the-inside log cabins.
The cabins sit within the forest that surrounds Table Rock Lake. One-bedroom cabins can serve as private romantic hideaways. The two-bedroom cabins or the two-bedroom cabins with loft are ideal for couples or small families. Each cabin has a full kitchen, oversized stone fireplace and private deck with barbecue. The master bathrooms in all cabins have a hot tub. In selected cabins, the second bathroom is similarly equipped. The nightly rate includes free wireless Internet access.
Guests can choose to dine in or try one of the restaurants at the resort, including Truman, known for serving smoked-meat sandwiches, the Worman House, which offers champagne brunches, and Top of the Rock, which offers an assortment of pastas and pizzas. Two spas, horse stable and a marina with boat rentals and fishing guides offer plenty of recreational options.

There is something to be said about staying in a cabin that has its own name. Just like some people have named their RVs or their vacation homes, the owners of Lonesome Dove Log Cabins have named their mountain cabins. Somehow it just makes them all the more appealing.
Cherokee is the largest cabin, offering two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a two-person hot tub. The other three, Gus, Seminole and Lakota are one-bedroom units with one bath and a hot tub. All cabins have kitchens, wood-burning fireplaces, barbecues and covered decks or porches with views of the Ozark Mountains and the Taneycomo Valley.
Even though the cabins are nestled within a heavily forested area, if you feel the need to dine out, shop or see a show, you are only a mile from Branson Landing, one of the area's popular entertainment complexes.
