The Atlanta Zoo is a place where families can visit. Kids and toddlers will be able to see different animals, such as birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. They also have a Kids Corner for young kids and toddlers. Some of the activities in the Kids Corner are Zoo's Clues, Scavenger Hunt, Arts and Crafts and Green Tips. A tour of the entire zoo can take up to three hours. Families are welcome to bring food in the zoo. There are picnic tables in the zoo grounds where visitors can eat. Families who come with toddlers can rent a stroller at the entrance of the zoo. Guests who have a membership in some zoos and aquariums across the country can enter Atlanta Zoo free of charge.

The Georgia Aquarium opened in November 2005. It is the world's largest aquarium and features lots of marine animals housed in 8 million gallons of water. Toddlers and kids will enjoy the tour of the entire aquarium with different sections like the Cold Water Quest, Georgia Explorer, Ocean Voyager, River Scout, Tropical Driver and 4-D Theater. There are also behind the scenes tours, such as the Quick Dip Tour, Shark Themed Family Tour and the VIP Tour. Georgia Aquarium's Kids Corner has a program for toddlers ages 2 to 5. The Growing Guppies program has puppet shows, activities and storytelling that toddlers will surely enjoy.

Imagine It! is the only children's museum in Atlanta. In the museum, children age 8 and below will be able to learn, explore and take part in different activities that will enhance their knowledge. Some of the exhibits for kids are the Crawl Space, Leaping into Learning, Fundamentally Food, Let Your Creativity Flow and many more. There are also performances, entertainment programs and short musicals for the toddlers.
