The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World has various rides and attractions geared towards young kids. Toddlers can enjoy shows, like the Country Bear Jamboree and Mickey's PhilharMagic. While some rides are too scary for toddlers, they can enjoy rides like: Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and It's a Small World. There are also various play areas geared towards smaller kids, including: the Winnie the Pooh play area in Fasntasyland, Tom Sawyer's Island in Frontierland, and a small play area between the Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Rides. The Toon Town area also has various things a toddler will enjoy, including: Mickey and Minnie's houses and Donald's Boat which is a water play area for small children.
Also located at Walt Disney World, Animal Kingdom has plenty to offer families traveling with toddlers. With over 1,500 animals to see, the parks moves at a slower pace that's perfect toddlers. There are plenty of animals to see and a boneyard play area for the younger crowd. Small children will also enjoy the Affection Section, which is a petting zoo geared specifically towards small children.
Located in Kissimmee on South Poinciana Blvd, the Green Meadows Petting Farm is a good place to take toddlers. They have over 300 animals, including: pigs, geese, cows, donkeys, and turkeys. They also offer guests a chance to milk a cow, train rides, pony rides for kids, and a tractor drawn hayride. There are picnic areas available so families can pack a lunch for the day.
With a 120-foot plastic alligator located outside, kids are sure to get excited before they even enter the gates. The Jungleland Zoo, located on West Irlo Bronson Highway, is a small zoo that specializes in exotic animals. They have a gator show that takes place three times daily and a cat show where trainers have various tigers and puma go through a series of things that gives the show a circus type feel.
