Imagine It! is the only children's museum in Atlanta, and is geared towards kids ages 8 and under. According to Disney.com, the Atlanta Children's museum is "perfect" for toddlers, because of its water play area, which allows kids to fish for plastic sea creatures. But, there is far more to this museum. In the Leaping Into Learn Exhibit, kids journey through a magical forest, and weave their way through a tree house that has secret places to explore. In the The Let Your Creativity Flow exhibit, toddlers can mix paint together, paint on the walls and create towers of sand. This is a great way to let busybody toddlers explore things with their hands in a safe environment.

Touting itself as the world's largest aquarium with more than 100,000 animals in its midst, the Georgia Aquarium opened its doors in 2005 in the heart of downtown Atlanta. While the aquarium houses a variety of exhibits that may be of interest to toddlers, such as the Ocean Voyager, which features thousands of fish and sharks swimming around in a 6.3 million gallon tank, the Growing Guppies program is one not to miss. Geared specifically to toddlers and young children, Growing Guppies is designed to help them learn more about the ocean and the creatures that inhabit it. Kids explore an oceanic gallery, engage in storytelling and puppetry arts and have a visit with the aquarium's mascot.
