Bridgewater is a small township in northern New Jersey that serves as home to the United States Bicycling Hall of Fame. The town is also near recreational areas that include Washington Valley and North Branch Parks. The towns in Somerset County, including Bridgewater, offer a variety of restaurants that offer Thai cuisine. Although there are not that many Thai restaurants in Bridgewater, some are available in the nearby cities of Somerville and Warren.

      Much like its counterpart, Thai Kitchen I has a relaxed atmosphere with authentic Thai artifacts and paintings. This branch of the restaurant is right off Interstate 287, between the recreational facilities at Prince Rodgers and North Bridge Parks. Thai Kitchen serves lunch on the weekdays and dinner every night of the week. Reservations are highly recommended at both locations.

      The lunch menu at both locations offer selections such as pad khing, which is chicken, beef, or pork served with ginger, onions, bell peppers and scallions, as well as kao pad, a dish that has a choice of meat with eggs and vegetables. Dinner entrees include pad phet scallops, kra pao talay, a seafood combination of shrimp, scallop and squid. Two other Thai Kitchen locations are in Chester and Hillsborough, New Jersey.

Chao Phaya Thai Cuisine serves lunch and dinner seven days a week. The menu also has dessert items such as Thai custard and sticky rice with mango. Reservations are highly recommended on the weekends.

    • Situated in Somerville, Origin Thai is an approximate five-minute drive from Bridgewater. This trendy restaurant features authentic Thai artifacts that includes red silk that cover the ceiling lights and flower vases. Reservations are accepted at lunch for parties of five people or more. For dinner, reservations are required. Origin Thai Somerville serves lunch on Tuesdays through Saturdays and dinner on Tuesdays through Sundays. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. The lunch menu offers selections such as curry with chicken, beef or shrimp, and crispy salmon, while dinner entrees include grilled salmon and original duck tamarind. Take-out options are also available.
